Die of Death Killers Tier List: Is Evil Scary REALLY the Strongest?
The Great Debate
A recent YouTube Short asking "is Evil Scary truly the strongest?" racked up 400+ comments. Fans argued passionately over whether Evil Scary is the ultimate threat, or if mysterious figures like "John" or "Paranoy" could top the leaderboard.
That debate is real — but it mixes verified gameplay with community legend. So we built a tier list using only the four playable Pursuers currently in Die of Death, then separated the myths from the meta below.
The Real Tier List (Playable Pursuers)
- Pursuer
Mobility + Stalk (invisibility) + burst. Beginner-friendly but high skill ceiling. Swing hits for 20, Cleave hits multiple targets, Howl applies Slowness + highlight, Stalk flips into Lunge/Chomp. The default 'strongest' by raw reliability.
- Badware
Snowballer virus Killer. Firewall Bypass infects machinery and scales into map-wide control; Bolt + Rift convert pressure into kills. Highest HP (1010) in the roster. Punishes grouped-up teams hard.
- Killdroid
Deployable-tech Zoner. Deploy + Flight control vertical space; IGNORANCE takes map-bypass routes. Dominates tight corridors, predictable in open spaces.
- Harken
Vertical fear tactics. Excels on multi-level maps but struggles on flat, open layouts. A skill-expression pick more than a raw-power one.
Full per-character breakdowns live on the Tier List page.
The "Evil Scary" & "John" Debate — Community Legend, Not Verified Meta
Here's the important part: Evil Scary and John are not confirmed playable characters in Die of Death. They show up constantly in comments and fan theory, but we have no verified in-game data on them. Treating them as ranked "killers" would mean publishing rumor as fact.
- Evil Scary — described by fans as an unstoppable force. Popular in lore discussion, but not in the playable roster we track.
- "John" — a legendary figure fans joke about "soloing" other entities. Fun theory, zero confirmed mechanics.
- Paranoy, Nuclear Model, Toolbox, etc. — recurring names in the comment war. Until they're verifiable in-game, they stay in the "myth" pile.
If any of these ever get officially added, we'll rank them for real on the Tier List. Until then, the actual strongest pick you can play is Pursuer.
Bottom Line
Evil Scary may "feel" like the strongest in the comments — but the killer you can actually pilot to wins right now is Pursuer, with Badware and Killdroid close behind. The meta is far from settled, and the community's imagination is clearly running ahead of the roster.
This is an independent fan article. "Evil Scary" and "John" are community theories, not confirmed game content. For verified character data, see the guides linked above.
