Pursuer Guide

Master the Pursuer role: abilities breakdown, pro tips, and map callouts to dominate every match.

Overview

The Pursuer is the primary killer class in Die of Death. Your goal is to hunt down and eliminate all Survivors before they escape. Pursuer has a versatile kit combining mobility, tracking, and burst damage — making it the most beginner-friendly killer while still having a high skill ceiling.

Role: Chaser / Tracker | Difficulty: Easy to Learn, Hard to Master

Abilities

Charge (Active)

Rush forward in a straight line, damaging the first Survivor you hit. Charge can break through barricades and close gaps quickly.

  • • Cooldown: 12s
  • • Range: Medium (~30 studs)
  • • Damage: 25 HP

Dash (Active)

A short-range teleport that lets you blink through walls and obstacles. Dash is your best tool for mind games.

  • • Cooldown: 8s
  • • Range: Short (~15 studs)
  • • Damage: Can pass through thin walls

Sense (Passive / Toggle)

Reveal nearby Survivors within a radius. Survivors are highlighted through walls for 3 seconds.

  • • Cooldown: 20s
  • • Range: Large (~50 studs)
  • • Damage: Duration: 3s

Pro Tips

  1. Open with Sense. Always pop Sense at the start to locate the nearest Survivor.
  2. Dash + Charge combo. Blink behind a running Survivor with Dash, then immediately Charge for guaranteed damage.
  3. Patrol high-traffic areas. Survivors need to complete objectives. Learn the objective spawns and patrol between them.
  4. Listen for footsteps. Survivor footsteps are louder than you think. Use headphones and track audio cues.
  5. Don't over-commit. If a chase lasts more than 30 seconds, break off and pressure objectives instead.
